About Us
TK Cabinets' owners Hoyt Knowles and Glenn Thomas were
born and raised in Putnam County, Florida and worked at
Florida Furniture Industries for many years. After the
announcement of Florida Furniture's closing, the two friends
looked into several career options and decided to do what they
do best. The two decided to combine their years of experience
and knowledge in woodworking and open a business that
serves their hometown. Together, Hoyt and Glenn opened TK
Cabinets in the fall of 2003. They offer custom solid wood
cabinetry, shelving and woodwork for homes and offices, as
well as laminate and solid surface counter tops. With all types
of solid wood cabinetry to choose from, TK Cabinets will design,
make, finish and install new cabinetry and woodwork for any
room in your home or office. No job is too large or too small
and estimates are free.
Using state-of-the-art design software, Sales and Design
Manager, Shaun Thomas will create a three dimensional color
preview of your dream kitchen, bathroom, family room, or office.
Every detail is accurate and the preview will show you just how
your new cabinetry will look with your existing floor, paint colors,
and appliances.
TK Cabinets are built to last. Only high quality, solid wood and
solid wood veneers are used and there is no particle board
whatsoever. Previous customers have been amazed at the
cost-efficiency of custom cabinetry compared to buying
pre-fabricated cabinets in chain stores. "Call us, then shop and
compare," says Glenn. "You'll end up with a better product for
less money."
Glenn was employed at Florida Furniture for 25 years. He and
his wife, Dora, have four children, including Shaun, and two
grandchildren. Hoyt was at Florida Furniture for 30 years He
and his wife, Vicky, have a daughter and four grandchildren.
Shaun is a 1999 PHS graduate. He graduated from SJRCC in
2001, and from UNF in 2003. He and his wife, Kim, have a
6-year old son, a 3 year old baby girl and another girl on the
way. Christopher Thomas, also Glenn's son and Gerald
Thomas Glenn's brother works installing the cabinetry.
